Baby Gift Set featuring Silhouette and Lori Whitlock Cut Files

Hello!  I have a fun Baby Gift Set for you today.  I made this using Lori Whitlock cut files for both the card and the box.  (See below for links to the cut files)

It's super simple to make WOW gifts with you can personalize each one with your own touches.  I added a little bit of "chalk" look to this chalkboard by simply using a paper towel and dabbing it into my white ink pad.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and stamped in Versamark, then embossed.

For the gift box I just added a big bow, twine, a large button and a sentiment.  The sentiment is from Imaginisce My Baby Collection.

I used the chalkboard as a card, but it could easily be a table decoration or even an invitation for a baby shower.  Be sure and check Lori's SVG shop, she's got chalkboards for several different occasions.

Blog Hop Monday with the Lori Whitlock Design Team Featuring Valentines!

Hello and welcome to another Lori Whitlock Design Team Blog Hop!

You probably have arrived here from Ashlea Cook's blog but in case you just stopped by or got lost along the way or just want to go back and start at the beginning, I've got the entire blog hop  linked at the bottom of this post.

For my Lori Whitlock Valentine Project, I knew instantly I wanted to use the Echo Park Love Story digital collection which Lori created.   Love Story is a super fun Valentine kit which is suitable for all ages of Valentine projects.

I created a template in Photoshop and made mini Hershey nugget candybar wrappers, which I simply printed, cut and then wrapped around the candy.

Of course, every gift needs some cute packaging!  I used Lori Whitlock's Sihouette cutting file for this cute little candybox.

Hi there!
I've got another project featured over at http://loriwhilock.com today.  I made this using Lori's Silhouette Studio file for the Shadowbox.  Yes, that's right!  This frame is made with the Silhouette and 12 x 12 papers!  Pretty cool, eh?   I decorated it with the Love Story collection which was also created by Lori Whitlock for Echo Park.

Another Quick and Easy Christmas Gift

These candles are so super simple to make!  I made all of these in a little less than 20 minutes.  They are so super simple and Lori Whitlock's Echo Park Christmas Reflections kit is just perfect!  Check out my tutorial here.

They look so cute all wrapped up and make a perfect gift for a co-worker, friend or neighbor, or just make a bunch and enjoy a candlelit Christmas Holiday.
For this candle I used Lori Whitlock's Christmas Subway Art

Look what my honey made! Cute wooden garden box

Look at this AWESOME garden basket!  Doug totally just made this freehand.  I think it is the most awesome thing ever!   Imagine picking your garden veggies and/or flowers and being able to put them in this cute basket so the dirt can fall right off.... you can hose them off right in the basket.  I just LOVE this!

This year I made each of the couples on Doug's side this fun catch-all serving tray.
The artwork is by Nancie Rowe-Janitz and the entire project directions can be purchased at JessicaSprague.com right here.  The tutorial is on sale right now!
I think they are so fun and they were very easy to make and really affordable.
You don't even need any Photopshop expereince, the tutorial has everything you need as far as artwork, you just need a printer to print (I actually took mine to Staples to have printed).
Someone suggested they would even be cute hung on a wall.  I thought that was a great idea!
The tutorial is worth it just for the art.  Nancie is amazing!  I think using this concept the possibilities are endless.  You could personalize the tray with your own sentiment, you could use other things than a serving tray, even use totally different artwork.

I love that it's not perfect looking.  I think they have a lot of character.

She walks you through painting the trays to get that distressed look, even giving you the exact colors she used in the artwork so you get a perfect match.

I have been trying to come up with some fun little stocking stuffers for the girls on Doug's side.  This is my solution for this year.
A few years ago we switched to just exchanging stocking stuffers in lieu of gifts, however, it's sort of become a homemade swap.  I hope these refrigerator magnets will be a fun addition to the stockings.

I made serving trays as a larger gift for each of the families.  Now, what to make for the boys??!

Halloween Treat Box with Silhouette

I made this cute little double milk carton and holder using my Silhouette Cameo, cardstock and patterned paper.  Then added just a little bling to kick it up a notch.  I think this would be so fun for Halloween gifts for my 20 year old Goblins! (Wink).  I will fill with Candy Corn.
I used the cut files by Lori Whitlock available in the Silhouette Store.

Silhouette Birdhouse Gift Box

This was so fun!   Samatha Walker is getting ready to release her cut files over at JessicaSprague.com.  They are so adorable.  I made this birdhouse using her .png file and my Silhouette Cameo.  I filled it up with some treats and voila, you've got a really cute thank you gift, easter treat or whatever the occasion.  She's got files for a 3-story birdhouse as well as a 2-story in the same file.  I can't wait to try another one!
