Merry Christmas Card with Cricut Explore

I am in LOVE with the Cricut Explore/Design Space Print Then Cut Feature!  I mean, seriously, is there anything that isn't possible?  This card was made using the Cricut Explore Air and Print Then Cut really quickly and just look at the detail.

I made a video tutorial which will walk you through making this card from start to finish.  If you haven't tried print then cut... you really need to!  Here's your video

Deco Foil Buttons! Oh my, oh my!!!

Hello!  It's Lorrie here again, I hope you are as excited as I am about Deco Foil Buttons!!   I was so excited when I tried this fun project!  Using Thermoweb Deco Foils and my button machine I was able to create the fun embellishments in no time!
It's so easy peasy!
First you need a printable.  I've made one just for you, and you can download it by clicking on the image below.  Download the printable and print on a LASER PRINTER.  It must be a laser printer for the foils to work.  If you don't have a laser printer you can take it to your local office supply on a thumb drive and have them print it for you.  I printed on regular copy paper.

I should add, the best way to adhere these to your projects is the Thermoweb Large Adhesive Zots!  Hello... match made in heaven!

This little bowl just makes me happy!

  I may just leave them all in there "just to look at".

September Pocket Letters

 

I have been busy creating pocket letters!  It's become a favorite past time of mine.  The letter above was just for fun, no theme.

Fall Layout featuring Thermoweb Deco Foil and Cricut Explore

 I can hardly believe the leaves are starting to change, the air is getting cooler and there are signs of Fall all around us.

 For today's layout, I decided to feature Thermoweb Deco Foil in the color of pumpkins to foil some pretty leaves and add a splash of elegance to a silly Halloween Costume story.

Start by printing scripted paper on your laser printer.  It must be a laser printer to work with Deco Foils.   Using your favorite Die Cutting machine cut out leaves from the scrip paper.

 Apply the deco foil color side up on top of the leaves and enclose in a piece of copy paper or parchment paper and run through your laminator.  For best results, make sure your laminator is preheated for at least 10-15 minutes.

 Using your electronic die cutter (I use the Cricut Explore Air), print then cut some fun leaf embellishments and titles.  I chose a digital set by Wilna Furstenberg.

Begin assembling and layering elements on the layout using a mixture of the Thermoweb Adhesive Tape Runner, Glue Dots and Foam Squares to add multiple layers of dimension.

Black and White Pocket Letter

I'm having so much fun with our Pocket Letter Facebook group.

We try and come up with fun themes to base our pocket letter swaps on.   This particular theme was black and white.

Originally I had pulled out a bunch of black and white pattern papers from my stash, but just before I started to put this together, I had a different idea.  Black and White photos.  This is what I love about themes.  They are totally up to your personal interpretation.   There is no right or wrong.

This pocket letter is "out of the box" for me, and I think one of my most favorite yet.

Cartabella Rustic Elegance Wedding Cards with Thermoweb Adhesives

Hello everyone!  I'm so excited to share my projects this week. I am up on the Thermoweb blog today.   When we received the Cartabella Rustic Elegance collection as part of our partner week, my jaw dropped.  This kid it drop dead gorgeous!


It's so simple to create tons of beautiful wedding projects with this kit.


For the cards shown above, simply cut out the gorgeous pattern papers included in the Cartabella Rustic Elegance kit.  Layer as shown using Thermoweb foam squares.  Add double layers of foam squares to add even more dimension.   Die cut circles and simply add the stickers included in the kit. Add a little stitching around the edges for an extra touch of texture.



To assemble the two cards above, again use the pattern papers to cut standard A2 cards and layer as shown.  Use Thermoweb Foam Squares to pop the elements off the page.  Add some gold thread secured with a Thermoweb Mini Zot.  Layer the stickers and die cuts over the top.  Adhere the card front to the card bases using the Thermoweb Adhesive Runner.

And that's it!  Easy peasy.  I created these four cards in no time and have plenty left to make several more.  I have to say, this is one of the most pretty wedding kits I've ever seen.

Creating Digital Print Then Cut Images with the Cricut Explore

I have been playing with my Cricut Explore and digital images.  Did you know that with the Print Then Cut Feature and any of the Cricut Explore Machines (Explore, Explore Air or Explore One) you can create fun images just like this?





Aren't they gorgeous!?!?   It's super easy!  I've created a video to show you exactly how I did this and the products I used.
