It's a Swap Box!

It's a SWAP BOX!  Yep, that's what I'm calling it!

How cute is this?  The cut file is by Lori Whitlock, you can find it here.  You can see how to assemble and a full tutorial at the end of this post.

I love that you can fill the box with tags, and cards and all kinds of yumminess.

This is a standard A2 size card I made and it fits in the back pocket perfectly.  I added envelopes for the recipient as well.

As promised, here is a full tutorial on the assembly of this super cute Swap Box!  By the way, we are swapping these in Swap it! on Facebook.  I used my Cricut to cut the SVG by Lori.  It handles cardstock so well!

Lighted Birdhouse With Cricut Explore

Hello and thanks for stopping by!  Today I have a fun project for you using Lori Whitlock birdhouse SVGs from Loriwhitlock.com (link to exact file below).

To make this birdhouse I simply slightly altered a birdhouse SVG file by slicing out a circle in the bottom of the birdhouse with the Cricut Explore.  I then placed it over a battery operated tea light candle.   Wouldn't these be cute with the entire set of 5 birdhouses (which come in the set) all light up together?!!

Here's a quick tutorial to walk you through how to make this on your own!

Christmas Shaker Card

I made this fun Shaker Card using Lori Whitlock Christmas Tree Pop Up Card SVG.   It was super simple to cut with my Cricut Explore.  I even cut Fun Foam as the middle layer to pop up the red striped label to make room for my shaker pieces.

Who Says Halloween has to be spooky?

Hello and thanks for stopping by!

I've got a new post up over at Lori Whitlock's blog.

Today I'm featuring a non-spooky Halloween Gift set.  Who ever said Halloween had to be filled with witches, ghosts and goblins?  I turned this simple everyday occasion card and crate into a Halloween set simply by changing the papers.

I cut the Lori Whitlock Wooden Crate Svg file and the Kolette Hall Floral and Flag Card with my Cricut Explore.

Using the pen tool in the Cricut Explore made it super simple to add the Halloween sentiment using Lori Whitlock's Dot Sketch Font
Isn't this wooden crate the cutest?  It's the perfect size for a bag of candy corn or other Halloween treat.

Welcome to the Lori Whitlock October Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Lori Whitlock October blog hop!

It's October and, of course that makes me think of Halloween!  I made a super fun Halloween treat box and matching card.  I love to find cut files such as the Patriotic Mason Jar and repurpose it into a totally different holiday.  It was super easy to do but cutting the jar in black and adding a Halloween sentiment to the front.  I paired it with the Bracket Tri Fold Card by Lori Whitlock.  This is the cutest card!

This card as this fun belly band and then it opens to reveal plenty of area to write a message to the recipient.  I added the Trick or Treat Sentiment (Lori Whitlock Cute Spooks Digital kit) to the front panel by using the new Print Then Cut feature with the Cricut Explore.

Thanks for stopping by!  Now it's time for the fun stuff!

Halloween Water Bottle Gift Set

Halloween at my house has changed.  The kids are grown and living on their own and I live on a street that doesn't get any trick or treaters.  I know, sad.  So, I get very little change to make Halloween treat boxes.  I used Lori Whitlocks Water Bottle Hang Tag to make this adult Halloween Treat!
Stop by Lori Whitlock's blog today and add your link to the Link Up party.  We are showcasing any Halloween/Fall project using Lori Whitlock Silhouette Cut Files or SVG files.  Can't wait to see you there!

All of the files are listed on the Link Up!

You are Simply Wonderful Card

Hello there!  I wanted to share this fun shape card I made using Lori Whitlock's Owl SVG and my Sizzix Eclips2.   The papers are also from Lori Whitlock from the "We Are Family Collection".

I added 3D googly eyes and I turned the eyelashes upside down (originally they look like the owl is sleeping when turned the way they were intended).

Welcome to Lori Whitlock Blog Hop for August 2014

\
Hello and welcome back to another Lori Whitlock blog hop!  You're in for a treat!  There are lots of new designers on board and I, for one, cannot wait to see what they've come up with!

Did you know that not only can you shop Lori Whitlock SVGs and digi files at Lori Whitlock.com, but you can also shop for Kolette Hall digi files.

This fun spring card is a combination of Lori Whitlock's Fine and Dandy Paper Collection which she designed for Echo Park, and this fun SVG file from Kolette Hall called Doily Feather Chevron Card

You can see I didn't use the feathers, but I did use the chevron background, and doilies.   You can get more mileage from your card purchases if you can find ways to use them more than once.  Notice how different the card above looks from the original cut file, simply by changing a few layers.

Below is another take on the card, as it was designed by Kolette Hall.    Would you even notice that they are made from the exact same card cut file?

For this card I followed Kolette's template and simply added a simple "choose happy" sentiment which was a freebie by Heidi Swapp.  I used Thermoweb Icraft Deco Foils to add shiny the sentiment.

Click on the item below to find the files for the cards above in Lori's SVG shop

Use this 30% coupon to purchase any SVG file(s)  from Lori Whitlock's Shop!!
As if that wasn't enough, here is ANOTHER coupon code  for 30% off any Lori Whitlock digital files at SnapClickSupply

Now you know, Lori would never let you down.  She's got a freebie for you over at her blog.  Click the freebie below to get your copy!

OK... now it's time to hop on over to your next stop!  I've got the entire list below, off you go! :)
