Cutting Felt with the Cricut Explore!
I couldn't wait to try and make Evie some cute little headbands! I mean does it get any sweeter than this?
But once I started, I couldn't stop! I mean seriously!!! I had to make one in every color!
But once I started, I couldn't stop! I mean seriously!!! I had to make one in every color!
And then I found MORE colors and had to make some more! I'm not even finished with all the colors yet! I think Miss Evie is all set for awhile!
I don't think she minds. :) I made these with the Cricut Explore and some felt backed with Heat N Bond! (Products listed below). It was so super simple and fast. I am thinking I need hair clip bows for when she's a little older, headband bows/flowers, ponytail holders. Heck even, planner clips.
The Cricut and Felt work well together. I couldn't believe how well the Cricut cut the bonded felt.
Here's a tutorial if you'd like to make the bows, too! These are selling for $3-4 a piece on Etsy.. and seriously, cost me a few cents each.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Loaded Bag with Cricut Explore
Happy New Year!!! What an amazing year 2016 was! I'm so excited for 2017 and can't wait to see what it brings! I am starting the new off with a brand new video.
I created this Breakfast at Tiffany's Inspired Loaded Bag a week or so ago, but just now had a chance to film it. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I did creating!
I used my Cricut Explore for so much of this project, including the bag itself and several print then cut images. See those cute Pom Poms? Here's the pom pom maker I used to make those. So super simple!
I'm giving this loaded envelope away... watch the video (below) to find out how this could be yours!

Loaded Expanded Envelope with the Cricut Explore. Free SVG included!
The latest Craze in the Swapping World. Expanded Loaded Envelopes. These are so fun!
I absolutely adore stuffing them. I can spend an entire day, just adding a bit of this and a bit of that.
We are swapping these in the Swap It! Group . So many possibilities. This is a Winter/Snowflake theme.I created a cut file (you can get it in the video linked below) so that you can make one with your Cricut or Silhouette. I made this one with the Cricut Explore . You can pick up an explore for as low as $139. If you use code MELODYLANE at check out you can take an additional 15% off of that and get free shipping!
I love, love, LOVE how the Cricut Glitter Paper cuts. It's perfect for all digital die cutting machines. It doesn't flake, it doesn't dull your blade and it cuts like butter!
Ready for a HOW TO Video? I added a few things to this bag after I filmed the video. You can see the added touches in the photos above.

New Heatpress and lots of Tshirts with my Cricut Explore
Hello! Thanks for stopping by! I have been so busy making projects. Unfortunately, I've not taken time to post them here on the blog, so get ready for a catch up!
I have been making...
Tshirts... not just one
I have been making...
Tshirts... not just one
or two,
or five or six...
no, I've been a tshirt making machine!
It all started with my Cricut Explore and Cricut Iron on. Yep, every one of the shirts I've made used Cricut Iron On. It's so simple to use!
Oh... and I also got a heat press!!!
I love it! It doesn't live outside, I just put it there the day I got it, so I could "burn it off" as they say. If you get a new heat press, the first time you heat it up, it sort of gives off a smell. I thought it best to do it outside.
Today, I thought of a new idea. What if I used a stamped image and brought it into Cricut Design Space to clean it up, then add it to a shirt?!!?!? Pretty clever, eh?
See the bear? Look below and see where he came from?
The possibilities are endless! Here's a quick video to show you how to stamp an image and turn it into a iron on!

Foiled Planner Stickers with Cricut Explore and the Minc
I have been playing with planners. I know... I am not a planner girl. I don't have many appointments, my kids are grown and living on their own, so why do I need a planner? Well, let me try to explain.
Every since I was a little girl, I have always had a paper/pen obsession. Office supplies have always made me giddy. Every January, I buy a planner and every 3rd or 4th week, or so, in January, I put it someplace and never touch it again. I've done it for years. This year, I decided to take the Heidi Swapp Capture 30 class, because, I have all of her planners from last year and two from this year and again, I haven't used them. Capture30 is really about capturing little glimpses of your daily life. Not appointment planning, or to do list, though you can totally incorporate that, too, if you like. It's about documenting your dreams, goals, hopes, memories, little things that make each day unique. On top of that, you document it into a cute Heidi Swapp planner.
Next up, I decided to take one of my 3 other 2016 planners and start using it in a similar, but playful way. No pressure to schedule things, no pressure to mess it up. I write with markers and pens and add pretty papers and just have fun with it. I'm using a Happy Planner for my "fun" planning/journaling. Turns out... I am a planner girl!
I created these fun Gold Foiled Stickers using my Cricut Explore and the Minc. I made a short tutorial, so you can make your own. Enjoy!

Lighted Birdhouse With Cricut Explore
Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today I have a fun project for you using Lori Whitlock birdhouse SVGs from Loriwhitlock.com (link to exact file below).
Here's a quick tutorial to walk you through how to make this on your own!
Products used:
Lighted Bird House with Cricut Explore
Products Used
Lori Whitlock 5 Birdhouse Set
Lori Whitlock Hello Summer Paper by Echo Park
Battery Operated Tealight Candle
Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
Thermoweb Tape Runner
Thermoweb Foam Squares
Thermoweb Super Tape (red tape)
To make this birdhouse I simply slightly altered a birdhouse SVG file by slicing out a circle in the bottom of the birdhouse with the Cricut Explore. I then placed it over a battery operated tea light candle. Wouldn't these be cute with the entire set of 5 birdhouses (which come in the set) all light up together?!!
